Back on the Scene. Racing. Building. Helping. Enjoying.

The spark igniting.

Jeremy Ferguson was exposed to bicycles at a young age by following his dad through the winding trails of Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. For his first race, at the age of 9, Jeremy signed up for the 1999 Cyclocross National championships at the Presidio of San Francisco. This early exposure to riding bicycles off road quickly formed into a love affair with bicycles and the great outdoors.

The love and passion for cycling grew over the following years and ultimately lead Jeremy to race cyclocross on the National circuit (known as the USGP of Cyclocross at the time). Through his success on the national circuit, including a 2nd Place Overall in the U-23 category, he was asked to join the US National Team home base in Belgium for some European cyclocross racing against the top talent in the world. Jeremy has raced many of the most prestigious cyclocross races on the UCI calendar both in the US and in Europe.

Making it look easy.

After aging out of the under 23 racing category, Jeremy stepped back from the racing scene to complete his Bachelor's degree in Nursing and is now an Emergency Room nurse in Sacramento, California. Taking 6 years away from endurance sports and spending time taking care of physically and mentally ill patients has brought new light to the importance of a well-balanced and healthy lifestyle.

With the help of a new cycling team he has created, called Enjoy, Jeremy and the team use cycling as a tool to empower and encourage people to live healthy lifestyles. Whether it's patients or peers looking to get into a more healthy lifestyle, Jeremy's mission in starting Team Enjoy was to create a supportive group with a core goal of enjoying the outdoors and creating community through the use of endurance sports. This year Jeremy has an ambitious goal to inspire and motivate people using Team Enjoy as his megaphone.

Watch for Jeremy to be a podium contender in the A race at the Nutty Cross and help him cheer on his Enjoy teammates in various categories throughout the day.
